Armor Development

The Company self-funds all its own research and development related expenses. Pinnacle Armor has spent substantial resources to develop unequaled armor programs for the U.S. Government and virtually every agency, along with a compendium of state, local and other governmental bodies around the world.

The armor technologies developed for military and government required applications have consistently been years ahead of their time.

Prime examples of this can be seen in such armor systems as:

  • The patented lightweight flight deck armor composite developed and demonstrated to Boeing and the FAA in 1994.
  • The Dragon Skin flexible rifle defeating body armor with its first introduction to the U.S. Army in 1996.
  • The turbine compressor armor shield developed for the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile command in 1999, which kept the entire CH-47D Chinook helicopter fleet from being grounded.
  • The first lightweight secondary aluminum blast resistant window frame system to meet and exceed the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers BMAG explosive blast resistant requirements in 2000.
  • The only lightweight aluminum explosive blast resistant sliding window system to meet U.S. Army Corps of Engineers requirement, designed in 2006 ready for installation into Army facility as required and completed in 2007.

Pinnacle Armor, providing exceptional product development ahead of time, for the just in time immediate needs for life threatening protection.
