Our San Diego style concealed body armor with floation (neutral or positive buoyancy in salt water).
We offer our base model with NIJ 3-A ballistic protection (combined with the MIL-STD fragmentation requirements together) with neutral or positive buoyancy in one thin, lightweight vest. Our concealed flotation (ballistic/fragmentation) protective vest provides up to 16 pounds of positive buoyancy.
The closure is a side entry configuration offering seamless ballistic (and MIL fragmentation) protection to the operator, while eliminating any possible “riding-up” of the vest while in the water. The vest components are non-hydroscopic, even subsequent to being shot while in the water.
Our NIJ 3-A combination fragmentation and ballistic flotation panels have been tested to the NIJ 0101.04 standard for ballistic protection, and to the MIL-B-44053 fragmentation standard by the U.S. Army. Our flotation system incorporates an always-present flotation system that would not be adversely affected by a penetration of the flotation package and would always be available to the operator without a second thought, while only being 0.750” in total nominal thickness to the overall vest configuration.

Tactical Flotation Armor
Our flotation tactical body armor can be ordered in a number of design configurations including options for hydration systems, holsters for side arms, magazine pouches, or modular pockets for individual customization.
We offer our base model with NIJ 3-A ballistic protection combined with the MIL-STD fragmentation requirements together with positive buoyancy in one thin, lightweight vest. Our flotation ballistic/fragmentation protective vest provides 16 pounds of positive buoyancy and options for NIJ 3 & 4 flexible panels or hard plates for the front and back.

We offer collars in either fixed or removable configurations. A vest retention strap is available that attaches between the legs and aids in the transmission of the buoyancy between the vest and the user.
Our flotation Tactical Vest exceeds all the threat protection requirements including exceeding NIJ level 3-A. This places the vest within our own in-house protection level of 3-A+.

UDT Tactical Body Armor
The UDT Tactical Overt vest was originally designed for use by the South Korean UDT Naval Special Warfare Service. It is specifically designed for and by underwater operators for enhanced protection while providing for underwater low drag while swimming and snag free adjustable straps for ease of equipment use over the vest.
The front and rear upgrade plate/panel pockets are designed internally for no drag and no snag performance. The carrier is manufactured from UV (ultraviolet) resistant, tear, moisture, and mold resistant materials, that drain off the water instantly.
The UDT Tactical Overt vest is positively buoyant in salt water without the upgrade plates/panels. The standard vest level of protection without the upgrade plates/panels is a full NIJ Level III-A. The vest can be upgraded to include knife/thrust proteection, and armor piercing pistol protection.
