Transport Armor
Pinnacle Armor provides multiple lines of light weight armor solutions for vehicle, vessel and aircraft applications.
We provide transparent and opaque armors for ballistic, and fragmentation threats. These armor solutions are manufactured from many composite materials each selected for the prerequisites of each threat and design for mounting and installation.
Utilizing the Dragon Skin® technology we can provide flat and/or shaped protection for the following threat levels:
- Ballistic – level 3 rifle, level 4 rifle, level 5 rifle, 12.7mm and 14.5mm heavy machine gun.
- Fragmentation – from the 2 grain up to and including 25mm depending upon ballistic resistance selected.
Each of these ballistic threat levels will defeat their specified threats at a true muzzle velocity.
Maritime applications can be gel coated into the vessel for air and/or watertight requirements, or as appliqué add on armor as A or B kit configurations. This armor can also be manufactured to meet positive buoyancy capabilities.
The transport armors can meet the following requirements:
- Water resistance
- Chemical resistance
- High +250° F maximum operating temperature
- Low -160° F minimum operating temperature
- Vibration resistance
- Flame resistance
- Multiple repeat hit capabilities
- Very low back face signature profiles
- Light weight for selected threat applications
- Easy installation
